Lake Charles, LA Hurricane

Lake Charles, LA Hurricane Laura storm started on August 27th 2020. As the category 4-5 storm Laura made landfall our crews were already headed that way to be there quickly to assist with the cleanup and restoration. Our Storm Team included production staff, Crew Chiefs, Marketers and Project Managers from SERVPRO of Floyd County. Upon arrival it became very clear that this was much more than water mediation because almost every neighborhood suffered minor to major wind and debris damage.
The first obstacle in the cleanup process was having trees and other materials removed from customers homes SERVPRO crews from Floyd County set to work doing demolition work from small rooms to complete tear down of walls and ceilings of the entire home or business before starting water mediation and setting drying equipment with the help of generators.
Working tirelessly into the evening hours, enduring heat, no electricity, no running water and other essential services our crews went above and beyond and touched the lives of many families in need.
The crews of SERVPRO of Floyd County returned in November 2020 with their heads held high and many a 5 star review from grateful customers whose needs were taken care of in a disastrous situation. SERVPRO of Floyd County, and our owner Jason Wilson, received the "Storm Team Of The Year" award for the state of Kentucky.
